Rating and Percentages

The stats are represented by two values, one is stat rating, and the other is stat total.

We can see an example in the thumbnail, in yellow are the ratings, which come as large numbers, in thousands. And the Totals in percentage. In the game both sources are available directly. Some items, usually gear, come with stat ratings while, some companion active bonuses have direct percent contribution.

The final bonus of a stat is determined by the "Total Percent" (capped at 90%). This total is calculated from various direct bonuses, and from the Rating contribution (which is capped at 50%).

The contribution of the stat rating is determined by the difference between the rating and the total Item Level of the player, with 1% for every 1k stats missing.

For example: 40k IL player having 35k power rating will have 40k - 35k = 5k -> This means 5% short from the 50% maximum cap, hence a 45% contribution to the total of power.

Similarly, a player with 54k IL, having 33k deflect rating, will have 54k - 33k = 21k -> 21% missing from the 50% maximum -> 29% contribution to the deflect total from rating.
